PARABLES OF GRACE
Led by John Abeln & Jan Weston
Parables of Grace: Was Jesus a fairly standard-issue messianic claimant who exorcised demons, healed lepers, or restored hearing to the deaf? Was he a teacher as one having authority in himself and not as the scribes and Pharisees? Did he primarily focus on the common people, separating himself from the religious leaders and messianic expectations of being a leader of the Jewish nation? In Jesus' parables of Grace in the Gospels -which came after feeding the 5,000 and before entering Jerusalem- we see His focus paradoxically on his death and resurrection. Join the class as we review and debate these rich parables of Grace.
